Girne American University was established in 1985. Having made a small start with seven students, the university has become a strong university today, with more than 18,000 students studying only 32 years later.You will be in the right center of campus life with the opening cortege of the academic year, spring fests, dance and theatre festival which are organized conventionally every year. GAU breaks grounds with academic and social activities in Cyprus.

Girne American University, as a pioneer, in the island is encouraging the academicians and students to participate in scientific researches. One of our main goals is to make sustainable scientific research and conducting them within our Research Centers, as well as our academicians and students are able to do individual research projects.
